Somewhere between casual conversation and suspiciously detailed map-reading, the idea of Lefkas stopped being theoretical. The Ionian winds have been described repeatedly as “very civilized,” the harbor tavernas have already been evaluated with impressive seriousness, and someone has begun speaking about Meganisi anchoring spots as if they have personal memories of them.

At this point the situation is clear: the charts are pointing east.

We are officially heading to Lefkas, Greece.

Expect Ionian sunsets, calm water, and the usual collection of small logistical mysteries that tend to accompany boats, wind, and good intentions.
